I had a car accident in 2003. A maintenance truck made an illegal u turn in front of us. I had a ruptured carotid artery and spent 12 days in ICU. When I got out, I was overwhelmed with the medical bills I had incurred. Not to mention that I was trying to make up for lost time at my work.
